Jesus is my friend. He is my Savior, my Love, my Victory, my Provider, my Healer my Warrior, my Peace , my Comforter, my Counselor. He is the lover of my soul. In short, He is my Everything! I have a wonderful husband, probably the best husband in the world, but no matter how wonderful he is there are still needs I have that he cannot meet. There are still times when he falls short. The romantic in me would like to gaze in to his eyes and say " You complete me". The truth is, he helps me be a better person, he helped me survive, he loves me despite my faults but he does not
complete me.
Jesus is the one who completes me. He gave up the comforts of heaven to become a man and die on a cross so I would not have to pay a horrible price for my sins. He returned to life and made available to me all the power that it took to defeat sin and death so I could live a victorious, abundant life. Not only that, but more recently He stayed with me when people but me in a wood box and threw spiders and bugs in on top of me. He stayed with me when they wrapped wire around my big toes, put my feet in a basin of water and stuck the ends of the wire into an electrical socket and many other obscene offenses. Through it all Jesus remained in the middle of all the ugliness to keep His promise! I will never leave you or forsake you. I am with you always even to the ends of the Earth. Matthew 28:20
If you are to be victorious over all the ugly things humans have done to you, you need Jesus in your life. There is no other way to find the peace , joy and healing that you need. If you are trying to help a loved one through the healing process you need Him to help you do that and to meet your every need. He is there waiting for you to ask Him into your heart and acknowledge that you cannot do it without Him. It is easier if you remember that He loves you. He longs to be part of you. He understands where you are emotionally, mentally and spiritually and He wants to meet you there. He is the lover of your soul!! He wants to walk with you on the rest of your journey. Why don't you ask Him to come along?
The following is a prayer you can say, but don't feel like you need my words if you want to say something else. He listens and hears no matter what words you choose.
Jesus, thank you for loving me. I want you to come into my life. Please forgive my sins and be the Lord of my life. I give you my life and ask you to guide and protect me on my journey. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
You now belong to the family of God and you have a Daddy that will never hurt you or reject you! Congratulations and WELCOME! Every promise in the Bible is now yours! |
