Your role is crucial. You have the ability to educate your church family and alter misconceptions of the Christian community. When you admit that the problem exists and causes damage that doesn’t go away immediately upon receiving salvation, you have allowed the truth to speak into a dark, shameful place and touched the lives of countless people.

   As a teacher-preacher you can encourage forgiveness, encourage and strengthen the resolve of the wounded person and the significant people in her/his life when the battle gets tough and quitting seems to be the only thing left. Your support can mean more than you may ever know.
